Adoption is still the new pregnant?
I guess people really don’t get it. I’m not going to rant about how stupid this is. My last post about it is good enough. I do ask that my readers go by and vote http://www.celebrity-babies.com/2008/04/adoption.html
I am very sad to see that the “its empowering” option is winning. Some days my faith in humanity is non existant

I am a Mother who lost her baby during the baby scoop era and it is insulting to me that anyone could really consider that adoption is the same as carrying and birthing a child.While they are at it they can have morning sickness,kicking in the ribs or bladder,streach marks,feeling the baby move for 6 months , swollen breasts,sleepless nights,going through labor etc.Would Ii have changed any of it ?Only the part where i lost her to adoption..Is adoption the new pregnancy ? Only in the minds of those in denial about what it really means to be pregnant..

Its disgusting. Also, they are in denial about what it really means to be adopted… torn from the mother’s life, surrounded by strangers, trauma. Obviously pregnancy is hard, nine months of cravings, attempts to be healthy, thinking, Is this going to hurt the baby? Worrying, planning… Homebirth? Hospital? Doctors? Midwife? But being born is a beautiful experience, and doesn’t have to be traumatic. Being taken from the only person in the world that you know, that is always traumatic.
